At Tribal Beat, jewellery is reinvented: fabrics are used as a substitute for gemstones, in a play on textures and shapes that ironically subverts the concept of what is considered ‘precious’.
Pure linen, in a lovely faded ruby shade, creates the framing where silk brocade, a two-tone linen jacquard and vintage silk brought back from Japan are set. Thanks to their weave and patterns, they take centre stage in this unique and original necklace. Small accents provided by a copper chain and a few tiny garnets serve merely as a backdrop, emphasizing the jewel’s ironic and playful character even further.
